Blacksmithing
Blacksmithing is the process of crafting metal into weapons and armor. To be a blacksmith, you must have the Blacksmithing skill, you must have a forge, and blacksmithing tools. These items can usually be purchased from Market Hill. Your forge must be heated, so you must have a source of fire and coal.
Coal is required for every five minutes of crafting time. You must add a brick of coal every five minutes of your crafting time. Additionally, since blacksmithing is physically exhausting, you will also lose 1 HP for every five minutes of crafting time. To begin, bring all of your required items to a marshal and inform them that you are going to begin blacksmithing. They will tell you how long it will take to smith the items if you aren’t sure.
The process of blacksmithing is time consuming one. You may choose to stay and complete the required smithing time in play, or you may choose to go out of play. As per the Physical Body Representation rule, your must leave your character card where your character is in the world in a clearly visible place and go out of play with a white headband. To take advantage of this, bring all required coal, ingots, materials, and your character card to a marshal. At this point, you can choose to do whatever you’d like out of play. This will double the crafting time. The suggestion is to spend your time NPCing to avoid distracting In-Play characters.
Every blacksmith has the ability to add enchantment crystals to an item. Enchantment crystals are special jewels that can be added to a piece of armor, weapon, or item to give it the magical qualities necessary to be enchanted. Most materials already have at least one enchantment space, but adding enchantment crystals will give it the opportunity to have even more. Below is a list
